Contained in this collection are agricultural publications (ca. 1920 - ca. 1960); pamphlets, brochures, and flyers for agricultural equipment and other agricultural information (ca. 1920 - ca. 1960); and correspondence, other papers, and memorabilia of David C. and Edgar W. Worth (1916 - 1990). This collection formerly contained publications, brochures, etc. produced by NC State College/University (1920s – 1980s) but these have been moved to the University Archives. Brothers David Crenshaw and Edgar Wilson Worth graduated from North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering (later NC State University), the former with a B.S. in Agriculture (1927) and M.S. in Animal Husbandry (1930) and the latter with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. David was the owner/operator of Oakhurt Dairy Farm in Wake County, NC, from 1927-1956. He was a prominent member of various dairy organzations in North Carolina. Less

The Student Government records contain meeting minutes, agenda, correspondence, news releases, publications, and financial records generated as a result of the establishment and activities of Student Government on NC State University's campus. Of particular interest are documents describing the "Student Rebellion" of 1905 which facilitated the need for student governing on campus as well as records documenting the ratification of the Constitution in 1955 and the creation of the Student Senate in 1969. There are also records concerning campus elections, political rallies and community involvement as well as student "disturbances" on and off campus. In addition, the collection contains publications of student government laws, bound copies of annual records and community service type publications which were circulated among the entire student body. The records also contain digital media related to the Student Government website, as well as archived content of the official website itself, beginning in 2017. Student Government at North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering (later North Carolina State University) began in 1921. At that time, the group was made up of both students and faculty and was called Campus Government. Following the establishment of the Faculty Senate in 1954, a new Student Government Constitution was ratified in 1955, reestablishing a separate Student Government which included a student body president and governing committees. The Howard McDonald Ellis drawings and class schedule consist of oversized drawings of building columns and frame walls from Jehu D. Paulson's Elements of Design Class, and a North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering (now North Carolina State University) class schedule. Howard McDonald Ellis (1907 - 1993) was an extension specialist in charge of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at North Carolina State University from 1935 to 1969. Ellis received a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (1929) and a bachelor's degree in Sanitary Engineering (1934) from North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering. The Eugene Edgar Lambeth letters consists of photocopies and transcriptions of two letters Lambeth wrote as a student at North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (now North Carolina State University) in 1891. One letter is to his father asking for money to pay his board. In the second letter, Lambeth relates his activities to his cousin Minnie, and requests a visit from her. The Henry Eli Kendall papers consist of photographs of Kendall and childhood friends and memorabilia from North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering (now North Carolina State University), including ribbons, correspondence, news clippings, registration cards, a grade report, and an athletic ticket book. Henry Eli Kendall Jr. (1905-1981) was an engineer, North Carolina state government official, director of the State Employees' Credit Union, and a World War II veteran. Contained in this collection is William T. Overby’s notebook for NC State College poultry and plant propagation courses, ca. 1923. Some pages contain examples of Overby's identification of feathers by chicken breed. William Troy ("Bill") Overby was originally from Margaretsville, North Carolina. He attended North Carolina State College from 1922 to 1926, and the college awarded him a B.S. degree in vocational education.
