D. H. Hill Jr. Library

Library surrounded by grass and trees

Located on NC State's North Campus, the D. H. Hill Jr. Library is one of NC State’s two main libraries, complementing the James B. Hunt Jr. Library on Centennial Campus. The Hill Library houses over one million volumes of the Libraries' collection.

What's inside the Hill Library?

Popular spaces for work and study include the Learning Commons; separate commons spaces for faculty members and graduate students; and quieter areas, such as the Special Collections Reading Room, the Quiet Reading Room, and study seating in the bookstacks towers.

The Makerspace, Digital Media Lab, and Virtual Reality Studio provide specialized equipment, services, and workshops. The Hill of Beans Café offers coffee and snacks.
