Biosketch Support

A biosketch is a short description of your professional identity often required for grant applications. Learn more about creating your biosketch for NIH and NSF in SciENcv.

Finding Funding

The NC State Research Development Office (RDO) is the primary unit that supports researchers in finding funding. The RDO website has information about funding opportunities, and they also provide support for InfoEd SPIN, a funding opportunity database.

Within the RDO, the Proposal Development Unit (PDU) is available to help researchers pursue large-scale interdisciplinary proposals. The PDU is an excellent resource for funding agency guidance and links to grant writing support materials from around campus.

Research Administration and Compliance

Research Administration and Compliance comprises the Offices of Sponsored Programs and Regulatory Compliance Services (SPARCS) and Contracts and Grants (C and G). These units support projects throughout the award lifecycle, providing education and resources for the proposal and award process, facilitating risk assessments and negotiation of agreements and subawards, and overseeing fiscal and programmatic compliance with sponsor requirements, federal regulations, and ethical standards.
