Interlibrary loan FAQ

TRLN Direct

TRLN Direct is a service used to quickly fill interlibrary loan requests from Duke, NC Central, and UNC Libraries. NCSU users will submit requests through Tripsaver request pages, and our staff will try to locate the item at a TRLN Library. If available, we will move the request to the TRLN Direct system for delivery in 1-2 business days. Items filled through TRLN Direct will be available at your preferred pickup location for 10 days after receipt; check out for 120 days with no renewals to faculty, graduates, and staff, 30 days with 3 renewals to undergraduates; and are visible in the "NCSU Libraries" section of "My Account."

Document delivery of NCSU owned materials

The NCSU Libraries will scan and deliver articles from sources in our collection. This includes items in any of our branch libraries. This services is free of charge for NCSU students, faculty, staff, and University Affiliates. NCSU Friends of the Library and non-NCSU patrons are charged a cost recovery fee.
