A typed copy of The Dreams Ahead, by Edwin Carlisle Litsey (1874 - 1970) on letterhead from the 1922 North Carolina Farmers' and Farm Women's Convention is included. William Warden Shay (ca. 1869 - 1937) served as head of Swine Extension at the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Engineering starting in 1918. He was a purebred swine breeder, and wrote poetry as a hobby. Shay lived in Michigan before moving to North Carolina.
