MoreThe records of the North Carolina State University Student Health Service include brochures, event notices, blank medical history forms, correspondence, and other informational pamphlets. Brochures and pamphlets produced by the center include topics such as alcohol, disabilities, drugs, rape and sexual health as well as information regarding the center's services and insurance options for students. Materials range from 1966 (prior to the formation of the Student Health Service) until 1994. The North Carolina State University Student Health Service was formed in 1972. Initially, the university had an 80 bed care facility with staff and one part-time physician. The Student Health Center expanded to offer more on-campus care for students. Before the Student Health Service was formed, the university offered students a health insurance option which was overseen by the Student Health Service upon its formation.
