Materials range in date from 1985 to 2020. James W. Clark, Jr. (1943- ), was the director of Humanities Extension at North Carolina State University beginning in 1993 and taught in the English Department beginning in 1967. Clark received his bachelor's degree in English from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill (1965), and his master's degree (1967) and Ph. D. (1970) in English from Duke University. He has authored numerous publications, including Clover All Over. He has been involved in various professional associations, including the Thomas Wolfe Society. He was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame in 2017 and won the 2020 John Tyler Caldwell Award for the Humanities — the North Carolina Humanities Council’s most prestigious honor.
