Correspondence, memoranda, reports, proposed option for program in Applied History, later named Public History, and minutes pertaining to the budget, salaries, curricula, committees, and students.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences was formerly known as the School of Liberal Arts and grew out of the School of General Studies and the Basic Division. The Depatrment of History has 35 faculty members, covering a wide range of fields. Its strengths include the history of race relations, law and society, and history of science and technology. It has a strong record of publications, grant and fellowship awards, and public outreach
