This collection includes issues of Faculty Publications and Research for the years 1950 to 1972. Issues from 1950 to 1963 are also numbered as issues of the North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering State College Record.

Faculty Publications and Research together with Abstracts of Doctoral Dissertations and Master's Theses was published by the Graduate School of North Carolina State College from 1950 to 1959. In 1960, the publication title changed to Faculty Publications and Research, even though it still included titles of doctoral dissertations and master's theses accepted in the various departments during the period covered by each issue. Beginning with the 1964-1965 issue, Faculty Publications and Research was compiled by the Administrative Dean for Research, a position established in 1965. The Administrative Dean for Research continued to compile the publication, at least until 1972. Beginning with the 1966-1967 issue, Faculty Publications and Research no longer listed titles of master's theses, but it continued to list doctoral dissertation titles.

Biographical/historical note

Faculty Publications and Research together with Abstracts of Doctoral Dissertations and Master's Theses was published by the Graduate School of North Carolina State College from 1950 to 1959.
