Anne Burke
I'm grateful for Anne's dedication to the role of Libraries representative on the Faculty Senate. She provides clear and cogent summaries from meetings to all Libraries staff, which supports a strong connection between Libraries staff and campus-wide initiatives. She brings thoughtfulness and care to this task, as she brings to all her work.

Robin Kelly
The Duke Energy Hall is a beautiful space to have an event, but I think the reason it is so popular is because you have someone like Robin Kelly helping you make that event happen. Robin is so thoughtful and experienced and gives great advice to make an event a success. Once you have booked the space, she checks in to work out the logistics and provides a level of flexibility for people who are not used to planning events like me. Most of all Robin is just great to work with. I am so glad that she is a part of the Libraries team!

Troy Hurteau, Kristen Wilson, Clay Bedinger, Erik Olson, Meredith Wynn, Kevin Beswick, Jon Page
A big shout-out to the developers who attended the Accessibility Fix-a-thon in Feb. 2026! Together, we identified errors, fixed dozens (hundreds?) of issues, and helped each other troubleshoot tricky accessibility problems. Thanks for a fun and productive morning — and for your dedication to digital inclusivity!

Michael Fairback
Big thanks to Michael for helping me with observational studies in 2024 and 2025. We worked together to figure out how to observe dozens of study rooms at the Hill Library and at the Hunt Library, record the data, and present the data to our colleagues. Michael is easy and fun to work with. I look forward to collaborating with him again for the 2026 edition.

Cas Saroza
Cas did a stellar job putting together the Connect to Your Campus event! They were so thoughtful in selecting which campus partners to invite, highlighting offices on campus that have a lot to offer faculty but may at times be overlooked. The "speed-friending" format was a hit and many connections were indeed made! This event was just another example of Cas's knowledge of and dedication to the NC State community, which makes them a phenomenal colleague to work with.

Ryan Hunter
Ryan saved the day again! Less than an hour before a hybrid event in T&V, I realized the camera wasn't working in Zoom. Ryan stepped in quickly and fixed the issue with time to spare. This is one of many examples of how Ryan is a reliable and responsive colleague. I appreciate how much he cares about the experience of using the high-tech spaces. Even when there isn't an immediate issue, Ryan is thinking about how the technology can be improved to be more stable and reliable for users. Thanks, Ryan!

Shawn Sexton, Khaled Badwan
I want to give a big thank you and shout out to Shawn and Khaled for helping troubleshoot in the Visualization Gallery. This semester, a student is working on an interactive thesis project using USB cameras. The cameras weren't working as expected, so Shawn and Khaled spent nearly 2 hours with us in the Gallery sorting through the layers of issues. I appreciate how friendly, patient, and diligent they were in helping identify and solve the issues. We have so many unique uses and are often pushing the technology to its limits, and it is wonderful to have colleagues who are willing to put in extra time to make the high-tech spaces work well for students and other users.

Aasta Thomas, Troy Hurteau, Alexa Carter
Last week's Accessibility in STEM Conference was amazing and part of the reason why was because of great library colleagues like Aasta Thomas, Alexa Carter and Troy Hurteau. Alexa did such a great job working with the College of Engineering to get put the event together and make sure everyone felt at welcome at Hunt Library.
Aasta and Troy took time away from their conference/work day to help with our basic document accessibility workshop. While all of my workshop plans didn't go exactly as I had imagined, Troy and Aasta made it all work whether it was locating emergency microphones or discussing alt-text for complicated circuit diagrams. The attendees were great and we had a super collaborative session where I think everyone learned something.
I feel so lucky to work with such smart, talented, helpful, and supportive colleagues!
