About This Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn how to use Open Source technologies, including GitHub and GitHub Pages, to create an open source, web-based OER textbook for your courses and course materials. Using Git Courseware, a tool created through the NC State University Libraries Alt-Textbook Project, instructors can create a branded, accessible, cohesive website with minimal coding and no HTML and no web design experience required. You can include text, images, video, and other embedded content and link from Moodle allowing you to share your course textbook with your students and the world! All tools covered in the workshop are free of charge and require no previous web design experience.
