Get Help with Systematic Reviews

The Libraries offers systematic review consultations to faculty, students, and staff at NC State.  Systematic review guidance from the library generally consists of two consultations, which will provide the necessary information and instruction to set your team on the path to completing your own systematic review.

The initial consultation will address:

  • A well-defined research question
  • Inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Key articles
  • Identification of the best databases to search
  • A draft search

A second consultation will:

  • Review accuracy of search terms for relevance
  • Instruct teams how to translate a search to additional databases
  • Show teams how to import records to a chosen citation management tool
  • Provide instruction and registration help for Covidence, a systematic review screening tool
