NC State University Research Storage is a secure, high-capacity, and versatile data storage service designed to meet the needs of NC State's researchers managed by NC State's Office of Information Technology.

Research Storage may be accessed from every node of NC State's Office of Information Technology HPC cluster, in addition to computers and other devices connected to NC State's campus data network and virtual private network via either the SMB or NFS protocols. Authentication by an NC State account is required to access the storage via HPC, SMB, or NFS. The storage system is physically located at the Eastern Data Center which is operated by the North Carolina Department of Information Technology, and data is backed up daily to a tape library located at a separate data center more than 15 miles away.

Please see here for further information on writing NC State University Research Storage into your grant documentation.
