The Theta Chi Fraternity was founded at Norwich University in Norwich, Vermont in 1856. Theta Chi merged with the Beta Kappa Fraternity in the 1930s. The Delta Rho Chapter of Theta Chi was founded at North Carolina State University in 1952. The maxim of Theta Chi Fraternity is "Alma Mater First and Theta Chi for Alma Mater."
