Rocky Branch Creek
Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Want to explore NC State's beautiful campus on your lunch break while contributing to citizen science? Want to meet other people on campus interested in nature? Or just want to get your daily steps in on your exercise tracker?
Join us for a campus nature walk led by urban ecologist Madhu Katti of NC State's Forestry and Environmental Resources department. You will see plants and wildlife, take pictures using your own phone or camera, and learn how to use iNaturalist to contribute data to the Wolfpack Citizen Science Challenge.
We will walk along Rocky Branch Creek from Morrill Dr. to Pullen Rd. Please wear comfortable shoes. The walk will last approximately one hour and is appropriate for all fitness levels (map).
Bring a camera or smartphone with iNaturalist installed and ready to go. You can download the iNaturalist smartphone app for Android or Apple.
Free and open to the public.
