Find Research Collaborators

ResearchGate is an academic social media platform where researchers can create research profiles, share and receive early feedback on work, and connect with colleagues and potential collaborators. ResearchGate is currently used by over 12 million academic and corporate researchers as well as practicing doctors. While not directly promoted as a tool for identifying potential collaborators, the ability to identify and connect with researchers in your area of study could increase the opportunity for cross institutional collaborations.

Eloquenti is an online marketplace where scholars can browse and select professional editors, grant writers, and external reviewers based on their credentials, subject matter expertise, publication record, and pricing.  These services are fee-based and the listing here is for informational purposes only and does not represent a specific endorsement of services provided by Eloquenti.

Bibliometrics: A bibliometric network analysis uses the patterns of publication and citation in large article databases to surface similarities and potential connections between the body of work of a particular researcher or group of researchers and their broader field. The article databases Web of Science, Engineering Village, and PubMed can be data-mined and analysed to reveal a researcher’s current collaborators and additional closely related researchers where collaboration might be possible. Further analyses of these networks of collaboration can also potentially help to identify new sources of funding. Individual researchers can do this kind of analysis in consultation with the NC State University Libraries, visit our Visualizing Impact page to get started.
