NC Research Campus Archives

The NC State University Libraries' Special Collections Research Center documented the growth of the North Carolina Research Campus through an archival project. This effort chronicles the area's metamorphosis by focusing on the development, construction and operation of the NC Research Campus. This site affords a unique opportunity to see how actual people have led, envisioned, and experienced this change in Kannapolis.

Visitors to the archive are invited to peruse images, oral histories, videos, podcasts, seminars, news releases and articles related to the reorganization in Kannapolis from a textile-mill economy to an information-research economy. Users will also find a timeline of events as well as links to related collections, both print and electronic, held by the NC State Libraries' Special Collections Research Center.
