About This Event

Phoebe Judge and Lauren Spohrer created the true-crime podcast Criminal in 2014, recording and editing the show before and after going their day jobs. In January 2015, they joined Radiotopia from PRX, and now make the show full-time. They will discuss the transition from working for public radio to being their own bosses, as well as the freedom and the restraints inherent in the podcasting medium.

Judge and Spohrer will also facilitate a podcasting workshop from 3:00pm-6:00pm on 8/24 for NCSU students, staff and faculty.  Sign up here.
