Student Leadership Initiative Panel Discussion

Throughout its history, NC State has produced a multitude of leaders, many of whom began their lives of service to the university and to the wider community while students at NC State. During this panel discussion, featuring a diverse group of alumni and current student leaders, we will explore how NC State fostered student leaders and challenged them to make positive change.

Moderated by Tony Caravano (Student Body President, 2003-2005), the panel includes:

• Superior Court Judge Ron Spivey (Student Body President 1981-1982)
• Kate Sterling (first female Student Body President, 1970-1971)
• Smedes York (former basketball player, former mayor of Raleigh)
• Harold Pettigrew (Student Body President, 2000-2001)
• Kelly Hook (Student Body President 2010-2011)
• Molly Basdeo (current Senior Class President)
