Driving Directions to D. H. Hill Library

From Durham, Chapel Hill and points west
- Take I-40 east to Raleigh.
- Take Exit 289 - Wade Avenue.
- Continue on this freeway a few miles, pass underneath the beltline (I-440), and go through two stoplights.
- Turn right at the third stoplight, onto Faircloth Street.
- Turn left at the first stoplight, onto Hillsborough Street.
- Continue a little over a mile, and the campus and library will be on your right.
- The library is a large, brick building directly across from a Wachovia Bank on the corner of Hillsborough and Pogue streets.
- The main entrance to the library is on the opposite (south) side of the building, facing the Brickyard.
From Clayton, Benson and points east
- Take I-40 West to Raleigh.
- Take Exit 295 - Gorman Street.
- Turn right at the foot of the exit onto Gorman Street.
- Continue a couple of miles and cross Western Boulevard; the campus will be on your right.
- Continue to Hillsborough Street and turn right. A BP station will be on your right.
- Continue a little over a mile, and the campus and library will be on your right.
- The library is a large, brick building directly across from a Wachovia Bank on the corner of Hillsborough and Pogue streets.
- The main entrance to the library is on the opposite (south) side of the building, facing the Brickyard.
From I-440 Beltline
- Take Exit 3 - Hillsborough Street.
- At the bottom of the exit ramp, take a left onto Hillsborough Street.
- Continue about two miles, and the campus and library will be on your right.
- The library is a large, brick building directly across from a Wachovia Bank on the corner of Hillsborough and Pogue streets.
- The main entrance to the library is on the opposite (south) side of the building, facing the Brickyard.
