About This Workshop
You will learn the fundamental components of a scientific article; the role of journal editors, reviewers and publishers; practical tips for crafting an article including how to organize a manuscript, prepare figure and tables, write a compelling discussion and a clear conclusion; ethical standards and best practice; tips to make your article reach the required audience; and guidance on what to avoid.

Adam Fraser, Executive Publisher, Pharmacology (Elsevier). As Executive Publisher for Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Adam works with Editors to publish leading research in journals such as Journal of Controlled Release, International Journal of Pharmaceutics, and Drug Discovery Today. Adam previously worked as a publisher in renewable energy and also in cognitive sciences, having joined Elsevier from Wiley in 2014. He lives in London.

Meghan Jendrysik, Scientific Editor (Elsevier). Meghan Jendrysik has over 10 years of experience as a scientific editor and has worked on journals across Elsevier’s life science portfolio. She joined Elsevier after completing a postdoc at NIAID/NIH. In her spare time, she enjoys studying the history of science.
