It’s time for the Libraries’ Book Sale!

You wait all year for the Friends of the Libraries Frank B. Armstrong Memorial Book Sale—now it’s finally here!

All next week—April 16-20—come to the tent in the Brickyard to find books about every subject under the sun. The full sale schedule is below. The book sale is a wonderful way to support the NCSU Libraries while bringing home treasures to read. All proceeds from the sale directly benefit the Libraries’ endowment. Last year the sale raised $17,200 for the Libraries and distributed over 800 boxes of books!

Also, students—did you know that you can join the Friends of the Library for free? And that FOL members get first look at the books the first night of the sale, before it opens to the public? Take advantage of that!

Each annual book sale is the culmination of hundreds of hours of work by volunteers, students, the Libraries staff, and others. It's also a great way to recycle books through the community and to give the NCSU Libraries that extra boost needed to help us remain a world-class resource for NC State. Donations of books, CDs, and DVDs are welcome year-round at the D. H. Hill Jr. Library loading dock on the Hillsborough Street side of the building, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Donations should be in good condition and boxed in medium to small boxes. For more information, please call the Friends of the Library office at 919.515.2841.
