The NCSU Libraries is seeking nominations for the twentieth annual Faculty Award. This award is given to an NC State faculty member who has contributed consistently and notably to the accomplishment of the Libraries’ mission, vision, and strategic initiatives.
Any NC State faculty member, except former recipients, is eligible to be nominated for this award. The award includes honorary life membership in the Friends of the Library, the winner’s name engraved on the NCSU Libraries Faculty Award plaque, tickets to the FOL Spring Dinner, a special recognition certificate, and a choice of one of the following: a $200 gift certificate to the NCSU Bookstore, a $200 gift certificate to Quail Ridge Books and Music, or an iPod Nano.
The Friends of the Library will present the award at its Fall Luncheon on October 20th, 2008.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, Septemtber 19, 2008. Forms are available online
and at all the NCSU Libraries locations. Nominators should also provide a letter describing how the nominee meets the criteria shown on the Web site. Additional letters in support of a nomination are encouraged.
