Criteria for Judging Entires

Entries will be judged on the following qualifications:

  • Appropriate use of digital formats.
    • Judges will consider whether or not the multimedia nature of the project enhanced the information presented, and if the format chosen was helpful in expressing ideas around the theme of Sustainability.
  • Creative presentation.
    • Judges will consider how clearly the material is presented and how easy the project is to use.
  • Originality of research or presentation.
    • Judges will consider the originality of research or orginality of presentation: the judges recognize that it may not be possible to present entirely new research, but in the case of existing knowledge or research it must be presented in a new and interesting way.

Judges may consult with outside specialists if their expertise is necessary to fully judge a project.

Advice from the Judges:

A successful project will be well documented; keep in mind you won't be there to explain aspects of your project to the judges, so take advantage of the required overview and abstract to thoroughly describe your project.

Keep in mind the appropriate use of digital formats. The multimedia aspect of your project should enhance the information presented, rather than simply be window-dressing.
