Also included in this collection are articles and book chapters from Mansmann's published work, annual reports, employee files, and office files. Richard A. Mansmann, DVM, Ph.D., is the Director of Outreach for, and founding Director of, the Equine Health Program at the NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He authored several books including Equine Medicine and Surgery (3rd. ed.), and is an expert in equine podiatry, metabolic and respiratory treatment, rehabilitation, lameness prevention, and equine disaster medicine. Mansmann retired from NC State University in 2010 and reopened his private practice, working with chronic equine lameness and foot problems.
