About This Event

This four-day workshop (Jun 3-6) will be presented via telecast. It is being offered by XSEDE and the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. Topics covered include MPI, OpenMP, OpenACC and accelerators. This event will conclude with a special hybrid exercise contest that will challenge the students to apply their skills over the following three weeks and be awarded the Sixth Annual XSEDE Summer Boot Camp Championship Trophy. In addition, an XSEDE Badge will be available to those who complete the Challenge.

In order to attend this event you must register through XSEDE. You will not be able to participate if you have not registered prior to the event.

Prerequisites:

  • Register through XSEDE.
  • Bring your own computer.
  • Have SSH client installed on your computer (e.g., PuTTY for Windows).
  • Be able to write research code with C or Fortran using Linux command line commands and text editing.
  • Be interested in how to port and optimize code for HPC.
  • Feel comfortable participating in a four-day telecast/webinar.
