Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., defined “beloved community” as a society based on connection, creativity, and justice that is both transformative and restorative. The images in this exhibit illustrate how previous generations have built their own beloved community at NC State and beyond. Explore the images featured in the exhibit and consider:

  • Where do you see yourself in the ancestral legacy of beloved community at NC State?
  • What do you wish to create and leave behind as part of this legacy?
  • What do you envision in the spirit of justice and hope for the future of your campus community?
