Nubian Message, Libraries release BHM resource list

"March: Book 1" cover.

The Nubian Message and the NCSU Libraries have partnered on a list of resources created by and about black activists, writers, poets and filmmakers. All resources are available for checkout at the Libraries, and some are viewable online.

The list features popular and classic titles like The Autobiography of Malcolm X and Spike Lee’s 2001 movie Do the Right Thing. Recent works such as Roxane Gay’s Bad Feminist and Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Between the World and Me (which was NC State's 2017 Common Reading Program selection) are also included.

The NCSU Libraries Diversity Committee helped choose the listings, with assistance from Leslie Shaip.
