Shout-outs From My Colleagues
Shout-outs are kind words from Libraries staff to other Libraries staff for going out of their way to be extra awesome at their job.
Maria, Molly, and I would like to give a massive Shout-out to OLE, especially Jordan, Robert, and Troy for their incredible work with the LHR suite recarpeting project. While others handled the actual recarpeting, these three managed the logistical tetris of getting all our furniture moved out and, more importantly, ensuring every desk and chair found its way back to the right spot. Their hard work helped make our office transition a success. Thanks OLE!

The entire OLE team has worked incredibly hard to make things as easy as possible for everyone transitioning to Hunt for the summer. Tripsaver had to move our entire operation over to Hunt, and the OLE team has made the move completely seamless for us, from setting up workstations with easy access to the mailroom, to transiting hundreds of holds between libraries, to checking the bookdrop at Hill daily, the OLE team has met every need and offered solutions to every challenge. Moving Tripsaver's operations to Hunt was smooth, organized, and painless thanks to their hard work. Thank you!

Libraries IT - Technology Services has had a large influx of new staff joining the team, and Jordan has been incredibly helpful in processing all of our requests that have been submitted. Whether it's getting new nameplates printed, processing door access needs, or helping us with last-minute bulky item transportation needs, she has been incredibly helpful to our whole team no matter what is sent her way. All summer library staff have been tabling and presenting at new student orientations for the first time in several years due to the pandemic. We've connected with thousands of students. Jordan created some fabulous stickers that the students LOVE and are always a hit -- both with undergraduates and grad students -- at these orientations. They immediately hone in on the stickers with excitement. These stickers demonstrate Jordan's creativity and artistry and are a fun way to promote the Libraries! Thanks, Jordan for sharing your creativity! Also, thanks for being such a welcoming and helpful colleague no matter the situation!
