The Learning Commons at the Hill Library is an active, comfortable space where students can discover, create, and collaborate with peers, a space that inspires them to be more productive and successful.

The Learning Commons offers a variety of spaces and technologies:

    Furniture

    • Work table and office chairs
    • Lounge seating
    • Whiteboard
    • Computer pod
    • Large tables

  •   How do I get there?

    Brickyard Entrance

    Elevator

    • Enter the Hill Library from the Brickyard entrance.
    • Go through the library gates and turn right.
    • Continue towards the reading room and the elevator bay will be on your left. 
    • Take the elevator to the first floor.
    • Turn right after exiting the elevator bay and follow the balcony around to the right.
    • Continue straight through the lobby. 
    • The Learning Commons is in front of you. 

    Stairs

    • Enter the Hill Library from the Brickyard entrance.
    • Go through the library gates.
    • Take the main stairs up to the first floor.
    • Turn right past the lobby. 
    • The Learning Commons is in front of you. 

    Hillsborough St. Entrance

    Elevator or Stairs

    • Enter the Hill Library from the Hillsborough St. entrance.
    • Go straight through the gates and turn left.
    • Continue down the hallway until you reach the stairs and elevator.
    • Take the stairs or elevator to the first floor. 
    • Continue through the lobby.
    • The Learning Commons is in front of you.
