April is Earth Month, and many of us are “going green” and doing good things for the environment. Sustainability, however, is a much bigger idea.
The Libraries Student Sustainability Challenge on Instagram (@ncsulibraries) builds upon the United Nations Sustainability Goals, which combine environmentalism with social and economic equity into a way to take personal responsibility for improving and sustaining lives on Earth. Our bi-weekly challenges make this very big idea into small things that you can do every day and incorporate into your life.
Here’s how you can participate:
Every Monday and Thursday this month, we’ll post a challenge on the Libraries Instagram feed. Then you:
1. Post a photo of yourself doing the challenge.
2. Tag the photo with #sustainabilitychallenge @ncsulibraries
Every time you make a challenge post, you’re entered into a drawing for sustainability prizes to be held at the end of April.
