The Veterinary Medicine Library (VML) provides a limited number of individually locked workspaces for long-term use dedicated to facilitating research and publication projects. These spaces can serve as a quiet space to focus, write, study for boards, or prepare a dissertation defense. NC State Veterinary Medicine doctoral students, house officers, research associates, and clinicians can apply to reserve these spaces.

How do I reserve and access this space?
VML Research Workspaces are lockable rooms designed for individuals conducting research, studying for board exams, or writing dissertations. When not reserved, they’re available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Eligibility: Anyone with a Wolfpack One Card can apply. Priority is given to CVM affiliates, particularly House Officers, Doctoral Students, Vet Techs, and Research Assistants.
- Reservation Details: Workspaces may be reserved for 4-14 days at a time, with daily use preferred. Rooms are not reservable during CVM Finals.
- How to Apply: Submit a request using the online form. Library staff will review applications and respond within 1-2 business days. If demand exceeds availability, assignments will be based on need and usage; some applicants may be placed on a waitlist.
