About This Event
In this introductory workshop you will learn the basics of operating a computerized milling machine, or a CNC mill. CNC mills let you create 2D and 3D objects out of durable materials, like wood, metal, and plastic. They are great tools for creating very precise parts and objects that can withstand a great deal of wear and tear. In this session you will learn how to create designs in vector-bases graphics software suitable for milling, you will gain hands-on experience working with Othermill desktop milling machine, and you will create a custom stamp out of a soft material. This workshop is a great chance to expose yourself to the possibilities of milling technology without needing any prior experience working with equipment of this type.
