A week or so ago, a large, beautiful clock was taken off the wall of the D. H. Hill Jr. Learning Commons and walked out of the Library.
As you probably know, much of what makes the Learning Commons such a special place is made possible by the generous donations from people who love the University and the NCSU Libraries. The gifts of hundreds of NC State graduates, faculty, Friends of the Library and others make sure we have comfortable furniture, innovative technologies, and spaces far beyond what the State appropriates to the Libraries, especially during hard economic times when budgets are tight
The clock was made possible by the donations of some of these friends. The security cameras at D. H. Hill Jr. captured the clock as it was being walked out of the building. We hope that anyone who can make it happen will do the right thing and help restore the clock the Libraries.
Thanks.
