Computer Availability in Learning Commons

The NCSU Libraries' Learning Commons has become a hub of student activity on campus. Unfortunately, it can sometimes be difficult to find an available computer in the Commons, especially during busy periods.

To help solve this problem, a new view of computer availability has been added to the large screen display at the entrance to the Commons. This new ?map? view visually indicates computers that are available for use (green) and computers that are occupied (red) by seat location.

The map shares the display with the view of computer availability for all computers in the D. H. Hill Jr. Library. These displays were developed by staff in the Digital Library Initiatives and Information Technology Departments. Questions or comments about this service should be sent to Tito Sierra .
