About This Event
Learn how to scan physical objects and transform them into 3D models. In this workshop you'll learn how to use 123D Catch, a free 3D scanning smartphone app,to create digital scans of phyisical objects. You'll also learn how to bring those scans into Autodesk Fusion 360 and how to apply advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) techniques to build a robust 3D model. By the end of this session you will understand how to replicate objects, and how to design parts that interface with existing parts or structures. This workshop is designed for intermediate or advanced CAD users, but highly motivated learners, at any skill level, are welcome.
Recommended but not required:
- Bring your own laptop;
- Install Autodesk Fusion 360 on your Mac or PC prior to the event.
