About This Event
The culture of Appalachia is a complex blend of backgrounds and ethnicities, rich in tradition and inseparable from the land and the mountains. In this program, filmmaker Neal Hutcheson of NC State will present and discuss clips from several of his films that document the dialects, traditions, music and folkways, including moonshining, that make up the unique tapestry that is Appalachia.
