Friends of the Libraries supports the NC State University Libraries by promoting excellence in library collections and services, attracting distinguished special collections, and sponsoring special events.

  •   How do I get there?

    Brickyard Entrance

    Elevator

    • Enter the Hill Library from the Brickyard Entrance. 
    • Go through the library gates and turn right.
    • Continue towards the reading room and the elevator bay will be on your left. 
    • Take the elevator to the first floor. 
    • Turn right after exiting the elevator bay and follow the balcony around to the right and into the Learning Commons.
    • Continue straight until the carpet ends.
    • Turn left down the short hallway.
    • At the end of the hallway turn right.
    • Continue to the end of the building.
    • The Friends of the Libraries Office is on the left.

    Stairs

    • Enter the Hill Library from the Brickyard Entrance.
    • Go straight through the library gates.
    • Take the first flight of stairs. 
    • Turn right past the Ask Us Lobby and into the Learning Commons. 
    • Continue straight until the carpet ends.
    • Turn left down the short hallway.
    • At the end of the hallway turn right.
    • Continue to the end of the building.
    • The Friends of the Libraries Office is on the left.

    Hillsborough St. Entrance

    Elevator and Stairs

    • Enter the Hill Library from the Hillsborough St. entrance.
    • Go straight through the gates and turn left.
    • Continue down the hallway until you reach the stairs and elevator.
    • Take the stairs or elevator to the first floor.
    • Continue straight through the lobby and into the Learning Commons.
    • Continue straight until the carpet ends.
    • Turn left down the short hallway.
    • At the end of the hallway turn right.
    • Continue to the end of the building.
    • The Friends of the Libraries Office is on the left.
