The records of the Tompkins Textile Student Council at North Carolina State University contain correspondence, meeting minutes, and other general information on the Council, its members, and its activities. Records also include a scrapbook maintained by the Council from 1978 to 1984. The Council is student-run, and acts as the chief governing body over all other student clubs and organizations within the College of Textiles, as well as providing a liaison between student interests and the interests of the College.

The Tompkins Textile Student Council (formerly known as the Tompkins Textile Council) was established in the School of Textiles (later, College of Textiles) at North Carolina State in or before 1940. Membership is open to any student enrolled in the College, and the Tompkins Textil Student Council remained active as of 2008.

This series contain materials from a scrapbook made by the Tompkins Textile Student Council. Topics of interest include photographs from TTSC events and activities, news bulletins, slogans, collages, and correspondences.

This scrapbook contained photos and labels that had been pasted onto individual pages. Many photos and labels had fallen off and were loose in the scrapbook. These items were rehoused into the folders and boxes listed below. The original pages, which sometimes still had writing on them, were retained and can be found at the end of the list.

Many pages are blank; the loose photographs that were on these pages were rehoused into boxes 2 and 3.

Pages contain photographs with bulletins of TTSC events such as Textile Day, Feminar, the Lintdodgers Ball, and commemoration ceremonies for faculty. Other topics of interest contain humorous slogans written by Student Council for news bulletins.

These scrapbook pages still have photographs attached, so they were not rehoused.
