MoreFrank Hammond Scrapbook consists of correspondence, biographgical information, newspaper clippings, photographs, and other documents from his time as Director of Bands at NC State from 1982 to 1994. Dr. Frank M. Hammond was Assistant Director of Music and Director of Bands, the marching band, symphonic band, British Brass Band, trombone choir, tuba choir, and the jazz ensemble, at NC State from 1982 to 1994. He also taught "Understanding Music," "Survey of American Music," and "History of Jazz" at NC State University. Dr. Hammond retired in 1995. He passed away on January 7th, 2012 at his home in Washington, N.C.
