These materials include meeting minutes for the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee with budgetary information, planning materials, organization correspondence, public surveys, and operational procedure. Also included are materials relating to partnership with the North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation. Materials date from 2001 to 2021. The Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST) became a State Trail and part of the state parks system by vote of the General Assembly in 2000. The MST is an off-road trail that extends from the coast of North Carolina to the mountains in Western North Carolina. The Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail (FMST) is a nonprofit group that helps to maintain and promote the Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST) in conjunction with the North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation (NCDPR).
