Scope/content

T. A. Underwood Blueprints and Specifications for the C. G. Berry Residence include 4 pages of specifications for a residence planned for Colonial Drive in Wilmington, North Carolina in the Forrest Hills area near Market Street. There are 7 sheets of blueprints.

This collection documents a relatively modest house of the early to mid-20th century. It has possible significance as a house built during the brief flurry of construction between the "recovery" after the Great Depression and the hiatus in building because of World War II.

There are similarly designed homes on Colonial Drive but there is no exact match to the façade shown on the drawings. It may be possible that modifications were made from the original design or that the home no longer exists.
