Teaching Materials 1994-2018, undated
Size: 1.5 linear feet (3 boxes)
This series contains materials spanning Dr. Sherman’s 24-year teaching career at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sherman's teaching focus was in pharmacology and animal behavior. The series includes teaching lecture slides (both printed and photo), handwritten notes, syllabi, email correspondence, and articles.
Within the College of Veterinary Medicine, many courses are coordinated and taught with many lecturers, thus some of the course folders only contain materials about the single lecture Dr. Sherman gave in that course.
This series is arranged numerically by course number.

Trazodone Clinical Trials 2010-2013
Size: 2.5 linear feet (5 boxes)
Trazodone hydrochloride is an antidepressant that has been used for cats and dogs for a variety of reasons. Despite its common use, there has been little work on evaluating its efficacy against a placebo control. Dr. Sherman, as part of a team, created a study to evaluate trazodone in a randomized placebo clinical trial. This series contains materials from the trazodone study such as animal patient reports, grant applications, trial summary, drafts of consent agreements, and patient notes. The names listed are the names of the animal patients in the trial.
This series was arranged in the orginal order.

Dr. Sherman, as part of a team, created a study to develop an Emotional Reactivity Test (ERT) for these dogs help make sure the IDDs selected are suitable for this specialized action. This series contains ERT score sheets, proposals and applications, information pamphlets, emails correspondence, articles, presentation materials, and project reports.
