How do I find a book on the shelf?

If you would like to find a book in the Library on your own, you need to know how to read the Library of Congress (LOC) Classification System call numbers. View our Getting Books video to learn how to read and LOC call number.

If you are still having trouble finding the book you can:

• Ask Us for help locating the book.
• Request the book by placing a hold and we will pull the book for you. Click on the green request button at the top of the book's entry in the library's catalog. You will receive an email when the book is ready to pick it up at your requested library.
• If you cannot find the book in the catalog at all, you can request the book through Interlibrary Services.
