About This Exhibit

The 2017 NC State Research Image Contest highlighted the breadth of variety found in research visualizations. A select number of these amazing submissions have been chosen to share here with the public through this Commons Wall exhibit. This gallery features the first- and second-place winners for each category as well as the honorable mentions for photography.

The 2nd annual contest was funded by NC State’s Graduate School and Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development, with support from University Communications and the College of Sciences. Entries were submitted in four categories: graphics & illustration, microscopy, photography, and video.
