The MetaSkill Challenge is a practical task with theoretical implications for how you approach all skill acquisition – metacognitive learning. The focus is on taking important higher-level skills – such as skill acquisition metacognition – and developing them through concrete everyday life.

About This Exhibit

The MetaSkill Challenge is a practical task with theoretical implications for how you approach all skill acquisition – metacognitive learning. The focus is on taking important higher-level skills – such as skill acquisition metacognition – and developing them through concrete everyday life.

This exhibit features the nine students who accomplished the MetaSkill Challenge this past semester and shows their development of the skills and the challenges they faced. The students committed 20 hours total to learn their new skill and aimed to practice their skill regularly per week throughout the semester. The students whose work is on view are Gretchen Coe, Katie Farrell, Kaitlyn Gainey, Weatherly Reeves, and Erica Rice.
