About This Event
In 2010, North Carolina adopted the Common Core State Standards for students in Grades K-12. In this workshop, led by Dr. Ann Harrington, teaching associate professor of Literacy/Elementary Education at NC State University, parents of children in Grades K-5 will learn what the Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts are, and ways to help their children meet these standards inside and outside of the classroom.
