About This Event
The short film, Science of Collective Discovery, is one of Red Hat's newest Open Source Stories. The film highlights how open source hardware and citizen science intersect to empower people to monitor, understand, and protect environmental health. The narrator is Dr. Caren Cooper, NC State faculty member and author of Citizen Science: How Ordinary People Are Changing the Face of Discovery. Following the film, join the discussion with a panel of students, faculty, and community members involved in open source hardware, citizen science, and protecting environmental health.
