Please join us to learn more about the impact the NCSU Libraries is having on NC State faculty research. The Friends of the Library Fall Reception will feature the 2016 NCSU Libraries Faculty Award and a special presentation by Dr. Rob Dunn, Professor of Applied Ecology and member of the Leadership in Public Science faculty cluster.
Dr. Dunn will discuss why the future of medicine, agriculture, and human existence depends on libraries and other collections -- and why it always has. Dr. Dunn is the author of multiple research books including the recent The Man Who Touched His Own Heart: True Tales of Science, Surgery, and Mystery, and head of the Rob Dunn Lab. In his lab, students, researchers, and volunteers collaborate on ecological, evolutionary, and public science projects.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
