Friends of the Library Fall Meeting

Please join us to learn more about the impact the Hunt Library is having on teaching, learning, collaboration, and research. This Fall's event will feature the 2015 NCSU Libraries Faculty Award and a special presentation by Dr. Jason Miller, Associate Head, Department of English.

Dr. Miller will discuss the discovery and restoration of the original “I Have a Dream” speech delivered at a high school gymnasium in Rocky Mount on November 27, 1962, that was unveiled at the Hunt Library and covered by the Associated Press, The Guardian, CNN and a host of other major news outlets.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served

Dr. Jason Miller, Professor and Associate Head of NC State’s Department of English, is the author of Langston Hughes and American Lynching Culture and most recently Origins of the Dream: Hughes’ Poetry and King’s Rhetoric, about the intellectual relationship between Dr. Martin Luther King and Langston Hughes.
